Join the Stamford Family YMCA
and fellow foodies at the
Chef ’s Table for the 2nd Annual

Fine Food for a Cause

Enjoy cocktails and a four-course, four-star meal prepared by some of the area’s most well-known chefs. The event will benefit the YMCA’s initiative to fight childhood obesity.

Proceeds from the event will support the Stamford Family YMCA’s youth development and healthy living programs. A cornerstone of this effort will be the building of a multi-purpose professional teaching kitchen at the Y, to deliver cooking skills and nutritional education to underserved local kids and their families. When not in use for these programs, the kitchen will generate revenue to fund the Y’s many community programs through high-end culinary classes, as well as private and corporate parties.

Chris Hansen, TV journalist and NBC Dateline correspondent, will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the event and longtime Y board member and local philanthropist, Sam Cingari will be honored for his unwavering dedication to the community. Additionally, Barteca Restaurant Group Co-Founders Sasa Mahr-Batuz and Andy Pforzheimer will be honored for their innovative contribution to the restaurant industry and supporting their local community.

The cost is $175 per person and sponsorship opportunities are still available. For more information and reservations, visit www.stamfordymca.org or contact Katrina Dorsey at the Stamford Family YMCA at 203-357-7000 ext. 129.

The Stamford Family YMCA is a 147 year old charity committed to serving the local community through programs focused on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Stamford Family YMCA partners with other organizations to identify social and health issues, such as childhood obesity, and provide results oriented programming like Stamford Hospital’s KIDS FANS’ program. The Y strives to not turn people away for inability to pay and operates thanks to the generosity of members, donors and corporate partners.
