Your trainer will design a program just for you that focus on your unique goals.
Here at the Stamford Family YMCA, we approach healthy living from a holistic approach. Our objective is to get all members to maximize their true potential and become truly actualized. The Y offers a plethora of options to best optimize this effort. We certainly approach life from three core values: spirit, mind and body. It is this method that individuals thrive and grow. More importantly it is our method to strengthening the foundations of our community.

ACSM Certified Personal Trainer

Jessica believes in a holistic approach to fitness, which can vary from exercises that build muscle, burn fat, increase stamina and endurance through a mix of strength training, high intensity interval training, body weight exercises and plyometrics. Jessica’s future fitness goals are to become a group fitness instructor and spinning instructor. Jessica works with all ages and physical abilities.

Jessica also leads the Ys FREE Fitness Center Orientation

Nick has a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with a Minor in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University. Nick’s certifications include: ACE, The Leader Edge-Cancer Exercise Specialist. He is also a member of the National Strength & Conditioning Association, American Council on Exercise and ACSM. Nick has over 12 years of experience in many different aspects of the health industry, including:

Lisa’s innovative personal training style aims to improve a clients technique, muscle strength, endurance, flexibility, agility, core strength, cardio respiratory function, weightless and/or management.
Understand nutrition in a greater way with helpful food and lifestyle choice suggestions that best support the individual.
Learn how to explore new foods, understand and reduce cravings, and increase energy.

How it Works

There are a few steps you must complete in order to begin training:

  • Purchase your personal training session(s) at the membership services desk.
    • $60/hour –Y members | $70/hour – Nonmembers
  • Packages available for Y members, only:
    • Package of 3 – $175 (becomes $58/hour)
    • Package of 6 – $336 ($56/hour)

Complete and return the Personal – Training Packet (attached), including:

  • Personal Training Interest Form
  • Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire
  • Informed Consent/Personal Training Policies
  • Member under age of 18: Permission to provide Medical Treatment

When we receive your Packet, you will receive a phone call or email within 2-4 days from our personal Training Coordinator, to schedule your free consultation. This is a time to Talk with your trainer; review your paperwork and set goals.  Your first training session will be scheduled directly with your trainer.  Physical fitness works more then the abdominal pectoral, it often clears and distresses the mind
