KEEPING YOUNG ATHLETES IN THE GAME
A Team Approach to Reducing ACL Injuries
Coaches, parents and young athletes are invited to join us at Stamford YMCA to learn how to reduce the risk of ACL injury for young athletes.
HSS Sports Safety Program
More than 35 million young athletes participate in sports in the United States. Unfortunately, more than 3.5 million sports injuries occur each year.
94% of parents want better protection.
Fewer than 50% of youth sports coaches have proper training.
HSS has established the HSS Sports Safety Program through a generous donation by HSS Board member James Dinan and his wife, Elizabeth Miller through the Dinan Family Foundation. The HSS Sports Safety Program aims to raise awareness of the importance of programs that improve sports performance, reduce injury rates, and minimize lifelong exposure to preventable musculoskeletal health issues. This program also offers educational programs and tools to audiences that share responsibility for the safety of youth and high school athletes.
