For 143 years the Stamford Family YMCA has embraced the mission to build strong kids, strong families and a strong community. We have stood for honesty, respect, caring and responsibility. Our Y is a place that welcomes everybody, a place that promotes togetherness, and a place that fosters the health of individuals and the community as a whole. We provide kids a safe nurturing environment for after school programs and summer camps, and adults an enriching atmosphere in which to strengthen their minds, bodies, and souls.
Following an extensive renovation, the Stamford Y reopened on April 1, 2010 with a brand new lobby and a much improved and updated fitness center. Plans for Phase II of the renovation are underway and will include a brand new Youth Program Center for kids to come to after school for both studying and recreation. Phase II will also include upgrades to the Men's and Women's locker rooms.
As the Y continues on its mission of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility, we ask that you continue to support us financially. Through our various program offerings and community partnerships, we are better able to positively impact our community and we can't do it without your support!
