The Stamford Family Y participates in the A.W.A.Y. Program. Y member visitors are welcome to visit the Stamford Family YMCA 12 times before they are subject to the day pass rate..
The A.W.A.Y Program is rooted in the philosophy that once someone becomes a member of a YMCA, he or she becomes a member of a nationwide association of people that helps build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities. Therefore, when away from home, you are warmly welcomed at any participating YMCA.
An individual YMCA's participation in the A.W.A.Y. Program is voluntary and some restriction may apply and vary from location to location. Before you arrive, contact the Y you wish to visit to determine their level of participation.
Y RECIPROCITY
Y members in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont now have access all YMCAs in these states at no charge when they present a valid Y ID card. Through “My Y is Every Y”, full facility/full privilege members will have access rights to all YMCAs in New England. Members should bring their YMCA ID card and a photo ID card to check into a partner Y. Some restrictions may apply depending on the YMCA, so members are encouraged to check with the Y they plan to visit ahead of time to learn the specifics.
