The Steven and Alexandra Cohen Foundation Kick Off Pool Challenge Campaign

STAMFORD, CT (April 2, 2014) – The Stamford Family YMCA announced today a $200,000 grant from the Steven A. and Alexandra Cohen Foundation in support of its recently launched Pool Infrastructure Project. The Cohen Foundation has already donated the initial $100,000 to help ensure that the costs of the most pressing needs are met immediately, with the remainder contingent upon the Y raising matching funds throughout the community. Pool Challenge Grant

All New Summer Camp at Rocky Craig

The Stamford Family Y has an all new outdoor camp experience at Camp Rocky Craig, a beautiful 28 acre campus, for children ages 3 - 15. Click here to register!


STAMFORD, CT (January 14, 2014) – The Stamford Family YMCA announced today a $15,000 grant from the Fairfield County Community Foundation to support the YMCA’s LEAD Academy (leadership, encouragement, acceptance, development) after-school program for Youth. Unified Sports Program

The Stamford Family YMCA invites Middle School students to join the Y’s Unified Basketball Team. Unified Sports® is a registered program of Special Olympics that combines approximately equal numbers of athletes with and without intellectual disability on sports teams for training and competition. All Unified Sports® players, both athletes and special partners, are of similar age and matched sport skill ability. Unified Sports® teams are placed in competitive divisions based on their skill abilities, and range from training divisions (with a skill-learning focus) to high level competition. Vacation Camp

Attention parents! Need somewhere for your kids to go when there is no school? During school closings, the Stamford YMCA offers “YMCA Vacation Days” to accommodate children in grades K-8 during school closings. Special activities planned include arts and crafts, open gym, swimming, movie outings, trips to museums and more. Hours are 8am-5pm, but extended hours from 8am-6pm are available!
