The Stamford Family YMCA is proud to be in partnership with Locust Performing Arts Center of Stamford, CT (LPAC). LPAC is a professional dance studio that offers dance classes for ages 3 through adult in Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Acting, Musical Theatre Vocal Performance (Glee-inspired), Creative Movement and Adult Dance Fitness. Founder, Jimmy Locust, has been a studio owner, master teacher and choreographer in the Fairfield County area since 2003. Jimmy has lent his talents and toured with superstars Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Paula Abdul, Quincy Jones, Debbie Allen and Justin Bieber. He has appeared on the Academy Awards, the Grammy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards in Atlanta and he was one of the head choreographers for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 1996 Olympics with Kenny Ortega (Michael Jackson’s This Is It). Jimmy was nominated for an American Choreography Award (2001) in the television category for his work on Warner Bros. hit show “Nikki”. Locust is founder and Director of
